Florida Campground: San Juan MountainsLocation: 18 miles from Bayfield Directions from Bayfield. Travel 9.0 miles north on County Road #501, then 3.0 miles northwest on County Road #240, and finally 6.0 miles north on County Road #243 to the campground entrance. Florida Campground is on the north end of Lemon Reservoir, four miles north of Miller Creek Campground. Private property adjoins the Florida Campground on the south side, so please do not trespass. Florida Campground FacilitiesFlorida is a low-use campground. Colorado blue spruce, Douglas-fir, and aspen dominate the area. Tent campers can find some well-shaded spots near the river. Campground host on site until Labor Day. Potable water in season, trash pickup in season, vault toilets, tables and fireplaces are available. Firewood is available, but you must gather your own. After Labor Day, camping fees are deposited in fee tubes. Toilets will remain open. If sites have water and trash service, fees are full price, otherwise they are half price.
